Accretion onto Some Well-Known Regular Black Holes

    Get PDF
In this work, we discuss the accretion onto static spherical symmetric regular black holes for specific choices of equation of state parameter. The underlying regular black holes are charged regular black hole using Fermi-Dirac Distribution, logistic distribution, nonlinear electrodynamics, respectively and Kehagias-Sftesos asymptotically flat regular black hole. We obtain the critical radius, critical speed and squared sound speed during the accretion process near the regular black holes. We also study the behavior of radial velocity, energy density and rate of change of mass for each regular black holes.Comment: 25 pages, 7 figures, Accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.

Impact of Organizational Justice on Job Satisfaction of Banking Employees

The aim of this study was to inspect the relationship between organizational justice and employee job satisfaction. Privatize banks (ABL, UBL, SCB, Kasahf ,Alfalah) were selected for the study 100 questioners were distributed among the banking employees out of which 53 were received back with the response rate 53%. Finding of this study shows that distributive justice has positive and significant impact on job satisfaction. The analysis also revealed that procedural justice has significant negative relationship with job satisfaction. Practical level of organizational justice can enhanced the level of job satisfaction. Effects of Thermal Fluctuations on Non-minimal Regular Magnetic Black Hole

We analyze the effects of thermal fluctuations on a regular black hole (RBH) of non-minimal Einstein-Yang-Mill theory with gauge field of magnetic Wu-Yang type and a cosmological constant. We consider the logarithmic corrected entropy in order to analyze the thermal fluctuations corresponding to non-minimal RBH thermodynamics. In this scenario, we develop various important thermodynamical quantities such as entropy, pressure, specific heats, Gibb's free energy and Helmothz free energy. We investigate first law of thermodynamics in the presence of logarithmic corrected entropy and non-minimal RBH. We also discuss the stability of this RBH using various frameworks such as γ\gamma factor (comprises of ratio of heat capacities), phase transition, grand canonical ensemble and canonical ensemble. It is observed that the non-minimal RBH becomes more globally and locally stable if we increase the value of cosmological constant.Comment: 20 pages, 5 figure

Persuasive Technology in Games: A Brief Review and Reappraisal

    Get PDF
Persuasive technology is a new field of research that has attracted considerable attention from game designers since there is a growing interest in games promoting positive behavioral changes. Persuasive games have been exploited to tremendous effect with applications ranging from mobile healthcare, which persuade users to exercise more often and adopt a healthy lifestyle, to government programs encouraging civic engagement. Therefore, persuasive technologies have become an indispensable part of the modern game designer’s toolkit, and their importance is only set to grow with time. In this paper, we begin by reviewing the existing body of work in this field while also explaining the pros and cons of emerging design models and theoretical frameworks. We then uncover major pitfalls in the current work and suggest directions for future research. Hopefully, this article will prove instructive to game designers and leave them with a better understanding of the central concepts in the field of persuasive technology
